    ABOUT THE JETPACK PROJECT

Thompson Station Church helps to sponsor a school campus through The Well's JetPack Project.  This program allows The Well Outreach to furnish food on the weekends for children from food-insufficient homes.  The Well administrates the program, ordering the food in bulk from Second Harvest Food Bank.  The school registers the students and distributes the bags each Friday that school is in session.  The sponsoring church pays for the food, packs each individual bag, and delivers the bags to the schools for distribution.

    WHAT IS THE JETPACK PROJECT?

The JetPack Project is a backpack food program providing nutritious, non-perishable food to eligible children of food- deficient households for the weekend.

Across the U.S., there are over 2,200 backpack food programs serving more than 90,000 children each year. Unfortunately, the numbers of food- deficient households are far greater.

In partnership with local churches the following schools provide JetPacks each weekend:

    • Allendale Elementary School
    • Bethesda Elementary School
    • Chapman's Elementary School
    • Heritage Elementary School
    • Heritage Middle School
    • Independence High School
    • Longview Elementary School
    • Marvin Wright Elementary School
    • Spring Hill Elementary School
    • Spring Hill Middle School
    • Spring Hill High School
    • Spring Station Middle School
    • Summit High School
