Things to bring:
Bring a good backpack(to carry all the the things😄), coffee cup/thermal mug in addition to water bottle, extension cord(charging), ear buds (drown out the giggles, coughs, and snores), small flashlight(coming back in after your shower), extra flat sheets (to hang on your bunk for privacy), hanging toiletry bag, Lysol or room freshener spray (freshen up the Cabin), decorations for Cabin( name tags for bunks, sign for the door, etc.), little happiest for your campers (think things they will use this week, ie:notebook, pens, highlighters, wwjd/ cross bracelets).
Tips to thrive:
-Start praying over your list as soon as you get it!
-Make it a priority to talk 1:1 with each of your campers/Jr counselors every day. SEE them❤️
-Get to know your junior counselors, help them be awesome! Give them specifics of how they can help.
-Get to know your fellow adult counselors, help each other out, lift each other up.
-2 mattresses is a MUST!
-Get pumped at Rec Time, it is only as fun as the counselors make it!
-Be flexible at all times with ALL the things!
-It's okay if they go to bed a little late, especially if they all feel like they had enough time to shower and settle in.
-Download any appropriate playlist to turn on in the morning to get everyone going. Also, great for background music during Quiet Time.
-Set cleanliness expectations from the beginning and you will win Clean Cabin every meal 😄
-Early is on time, on time is late!
-Participate in Worship! Dance on a chair, have fun!
-Be a good example during the message, they watch us all the time.
-Prep for the Quiet Times/Bible Study before Camp.
-Do your personal Quiet Time outside of the cabin before your campers wake up.
