I love how Jesus continually brought the Samaritan woman back to the root of the issue. He refused to be distracted by culture or religion. He focused the conversation on what mattered most, and revealed Himself to be the Messiah to this woman–the most unlikely person for this to be revealed to!

John 4:25-26–The woman said to him, “I know that the Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Jesus told her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.”

PRAY: Inside of every person is a longing to know what Jesus revealed to the Samaritan woman. Knowing Jesus as the Messiah settles so much inside us! Remember when you first realized who Jesus is and thank God for revealing Himself to you. Invite God to show you someone today who is eager to know this as well.
