Day 34: TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM
When someone asked Jesus to sum up the greatest (most important) commandment, this is what He said:
Matthew 22:37-40–He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
PRAY: In other words, “This is what the entire Bible is saying.” The true essence of our religion isn’t religion at all; it’s love. To love the LORD with all your heart, soul and mind. Ask the LORD if you’re doing that. Respond to what He tells you. Ask Him to grow this love in you for Him and for others.
