DAY 36: passion and love

Passion is love on fire. That’s how I would describe it. Last week we focused on “fresh passion,” and this week we’re focusing on “fresh love.” So what’s the difference? Love is like a river–passion is like the river rapids. Love flows steady and strong. Passion explodes with energy and power. But love–love is the undercurrent…the steady…the no-matter-what-happens-or how-much-my-faith-is challenged, I’m flowing…and I’m not stopping…and God’s Got This!

I Corinthians 13:12-13–For now we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known. Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

PRAY: Invite God to deepen your love relationship with Him. Consider how your love grows deeper for the people you naturally love. Invite God to make your love for Him so real that it explodes with passion when you sit still (like now) to pray. Devote yourself to this journey of deepening your love relationship with Him.
