Dear TSC Family,
Early in this year, God put on my heart John 20:21, “Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father is sending me, I am sending you.” This promise has been the heartbeat of TSC throughout 2021.
Thompson Station Church has been sent as Jesus was, for Christ’s purpose, in Christ’s power, and with Christ’s peace. Our mission? Connecting People with Jesus to Experience His Great Life.
We have had an amazing year. We launched our Hillcrest Campus, continued to reach people through our On-line Campus, and have been able to begin a much-needed refresh of our Central Campus.
We have celebrated record numbers of decisions and baptisms. As I write, it is mid-November and we have already baptized 265 people at Central campus and, in less than three months, 4 at our Hillcrest Campus.
Amidst some challenging circumstances in the world and our nation, I truly feel the peace that Jesus spoke over us as recorded in the 20th chapter of the Gospel of John.
I am on the edge of my seat as I look toward 2022. I really believe that we together will soon experience some of the greatest things God has for our church.
Leighann and I praise God for our TSC Staff. We are rejoicing that our team is more unified than ever and blessed with a cohesive sense of purpose.
In the paragraphs to follow, I hope you will get a glimpse into the heart of our Pastors as they share a word about their ministry area and their prayerful passion for 2022.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Tom McCoy

PRESCHOOL
Kids Ministry, Birth through Pre-K, strives to provide a safe environment where children learn about what God’s word says chronologically from Genesis-Revelation through Lifeway’s Gospel Project curriculum; always with the emphasis on where Jesus Christ fits into the story.
In 2022 our vision aligns with TSC’s Worship, Connect, Serve goals. Our preschoolers will worship on Sunday mornings in class through prayer and in Preschool Worship, on Wednesday nights in JAM (Jesus and Me) and VBS (Vacation Bible School). Our preschoolers will connect through play dates, Dedication, Kids on the Korner (our weekday Parents Day Out program) and outreach. Our preschoolers will serve through random acts of kindness and collecting items for donation at VBS and during the holiday season.
MISSIONS
The vision for TSC Missions in 2022 is for unreached people groups to hear the Gospel and respond, for the worldview of TSC members to be expanded through missions and outreach, and for people to come to Christ and be discipled through partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally. In 2022, we plan to reach people by establishing champions for local outreach, working with our international partners to build and start churches, and equipping and sending teams both nationally and internationally. One goal we have for 2022 is to identify at least one unreached people group, develop a strategy to reach them, and work toward establishing an indigenous church among that people group.
WORSHIP PRODUCTION
In 2022 we seek to build an even better atmosphere for worship, and better our livestream to reach more people outside of the physical church walls. We use technology and media to help connect people with Jesus. We are responsible for creating and maintaining a worshipful and distraction free environment so that people can experience God's presence. We use lighting, video, and audio to enhance the worship experience on campus, as well as creating a dynamic and engaging live stream experience for those worshiping with us remotely and at our Hillcrest Campus.
ADMINISTRATION
In 2022 and beyond, the Administrative Ministry is committed to being a staff and volunteer team passionately engaged in supporting all of the ministries of TSC, focused on the Mission of Connecting People with Jesus to Experience His Greater Life. Though our primary role is support oriented, the TSC Mission is the foundation of everything we do. Our Admin Team celebrates how they play a part in every salvation, baptism, and all discipleship that result from the impact of TSC ministry. Among our responsibilities are accounting/budgeting, human resources, safety/security, facilities, groundskeeping, legal,…well, let’s say “we paint with a wide brush.” In the year to come we are looking to improve systems and seek efficient ways to support the advancement of the many ministries of our church. We are dedicated to being the best stewards of the resources God has entrusted to TSC.
HILLCREST CAMPUS
Our desire is to connect people to Jesus and we will do this by loving our neighbor and serving the Lord with Excellence. TSC Hillcrest is surrounded by a growing, vibrant, neighborhood. Our resources will center on the conviction that we have been called to fulfill the Great Commission. (Matt 28:19-20.)
With the sudden growth inside the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, our focus will revolve around outreach. We will pour into the community through personal relationships, going out into the neighborhood to evangelize, and hosting strategic community events. We will embrace every opportunity to reach college students by being present on local campuses and hosting our weekly college night - The Gathering.
FACILITIES
The mission of the Facilities Ministry is to “Connect People with Jesus to Experience His Greater Life” by equipping craftsmen of all kinds. God’s word tells us in Eph 4:12 “To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." God gave us the model in Exodus 31 by appointing craftsmen of all kinds to build the Tabernacle. Although our church is not the Tabernacle we read about in the Old Testament, it is an anointed environment where people, at whatever stage of their walk can encounter God, be saved, discipled, and then be sent out to fulfill the great commission. The work of the ministry includes the Central and Hillcrest Environments. Our goal is to create that environment with the help of craftsmen at TSC for the glory of God.
PRAYER
The Prayer Ministry at TSC exists to connect people with Jesus so that they can experience His greater life. We believe that when we connect with Jesus through prayer, we experience the power of God flowing in and through our lives. Through prayer we experience God’s healing power in relationships, health, and finances. We’ve prayed with over 400 people through our Prayer Clinic ministry and have watched God answer specific prayers through our prayer and fasting team. We pray because we sincerely believe that when we work we work but when we pray God works.
KIDS
In TSCKids we want kids to feel seen, known, and loved. Through relationships with small group leaders and staff, they can learn and understand the love of Jesus.
We want to partner with parents to disciple their kids to become lifelong learners and lovers of the Word of God.
In 2022 we plan to continue to nurture this environment. Our kids will worship collectively on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. They will continue to build relationships with their peers and leaders on Sunday mornings in small groups, and group activities on Wednesday nights. We want to equip parents to be a part of their child’s spiritual walk by providing Parent Cues in our God Time Card Books, and opportunities to serve at camp and VBS. Along with our summer activities, we will continue to offer discipleship groups and events to grow our kids in their faith, and to make sure their foundation is built on Christ before they enter their middle school years.
YOUTH
In 2021 we have been blessed to see more and more students worship with us every week. Looking forward we aim to continue to equip these young people to help them become strong men and women of God. We will continue outreach through events, visiting schools, and so much more. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for 2022!
WORSHIP
Integration of worship and technology has become even more important over the past few years. One of the areas we have worked hard on over the past year is our online experience. This will continue to be an area of concern for us. Covid forced us to move faster than we had planned, so our upgrades only served as a foundation to build on. Therefore, we still have stages of certain projects that need serious attention. We plan to give even more priority to these areas over 2022 so we can continue our growth in technical areas. With this growth comes the need for quality volunteers. Another focus will be to recruit and train more people to become part of our volunteer staff. In the area of worship, we plan to continue training the next generation of worship leaders and band members while still recruiting others to join our team. We need all ages. This is especially important since we opened the Hillcrest campus. We have also had several meetings with a songwriting team. We completed one song, but we still have much work to do in this area. I’m still praying for God to put the right people together at the right time to accomplish this dream of writing some of our own music. Most importantly, our number one desire is for the church to worship. Our team is more unified than ever before and has a passion to see the church worship. This is a very exciting thing to watch. We are now seeing some of our primary worship leaders begin to mentor some of our younger worship leaders. This is a great picture of what the church should be and will continue to be an ongoing initiative for the worship ministry.
COMMUNICATIONS
In 2022 we want to to continue spreading the message of Jesus locally by drawing people to our church, and we want to make the name of Jesus known around the world using social media and other online methods. Thompson Station Church has been able to have such a great impact on the surrounding area, and we want to have that same kind of impact on an even bigger scale by spreading it online. We have already had many interactions with people from other states and countries; we want to see our online presence grow in the coming year so that we can find people where there are, and tell them about the life change that Jesus can bring.
ADULTS
This coming year we want to see the adults in TSC thrive! To make that happen we have a few goals. The first is that "Worship, Connect, Serve" & our Mission Statement would be our language focus and threaded through everything we do in 2022 church-wide. Next, Starting Point would be the first step for all adults and would be a jumping off point directly into Worship, Connect, Serve. A new format would be launched to support this goal.
Thirdly, we hope to instill in EVERY ADULT at TSC a desire to start or find a committed group with other believers and grow in their walk and invite others into the fold. Through: 1-1, Small Discipleship Group, Life Stage Group, Women’s/Men’s Bible Study, or an intentional Serve Team TSC groups would be everywhere and anytime! Thriving and growing in neighborhoods, work, coffee shops, gyms, parks, on/off campus, and online. Focused on Bible, Prayer, Care, Evangelism, Discipleship. Lastly we want to see 100 groups of adults in weekly Bible Study, Life Groups, and D Groups. We currently have 40 active Adult groups, and we can't wait to see that number grow!
